Australian researchers have, for the first time, provided the first comprehensive global estimate of the extent of presbyopia around the world.

That number is a staggering one billion people at least, and of those, it is estimated that half are without glasses.

Government to Fund Indigenous Eye Health

The Rudd Government has announced it is investing AUD$204.3 million in the 2009-10 Budget to improve health care in Indigenous communities and help close the life expectancy gap between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians.
